NEW 2.19.18 – Medical Billing Supervisor  – Birmingham Office

  • Description: Coordinates all patient and insurance billing and directly supervise 5 to 10 employees in the Medical Billing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with MediSYS’ polices and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; controlling absences from the assigned work area; controlling unnecessary overtime payments; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Requirements include: 4 year degree in Business Administration, HealthCare Administration or related field and 5+ years experience and/or training in Medical Billing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MediSYS software user a plus.

Medical Billing Specialist  – Birmingham Office

  • Medical Billing Specialist: Experienced Medical Billing Specialists needed. Qualifiers will have three or more recent years of experience in Medical Billing. Must have knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding. Experience in charge entry posting, payment posting, processing insurance claims and follow-up is a must. MediSYS software user a plus. Only medical billing specialist should apply, others will not be considered.

EHR Customer Service Representative  – Birmingham Office

  • MediSYS has an immediate opening for an Electronic Health Records (EHR) Software Customer Service Representative. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer support of clients on the MediSYS EHR system. Must have at least 3years’ experience in medical office workflow and general knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communications needed. Work references must be supplied with resume. Applicants without medical office experience will not be considered.
